Information We Collect

The following are details of the information we collect:

When you register for a Fantasy Cup Challenge by phone, fax, mail or online means, we need to know your name, address, phone number, and email address. If payment for the Challenge is made by credit card, we also need to know your credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and deliver services for your Challenge account. Our sites use VeriSign technology, which means our site uses a secure server (SSL) to encrypt any information you send us. We are the only ones who can decode it. In this way, we protect you from unauthorized access to your private information. By using a secure server, your information is not accessible to anyone when you send it over the Internet to us. Fantasy Cup sites employ cookies to recognize you and your privileges in order to provide you with specific information, as well as to track site usage. Cookies can also help provide information which is targeted to your interests. Cookies are stored on your browser, not on the Fantasy Cup site. You are free to decline Fantasy Cup cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may be required to reenter your password more frequently during an online session. Also, by not accepting cookies, you may not be able to access certain portions of the Fantasy Cup site. Cookies used by Fantasy Cup do not contain personally identifiable information about you.

Our sponsors and advertisers may use cookies within their advertisements or promotions. Fantasy Cup will likely not have access to these cookies or any information that they may contain. If you want any information about these cookies, contact our advertisers. In the course of using the site or playing a Challenge, Fantasy Cup sites automatically collect data tracking site usage. Information tracked includes, but is not limited to, the URL that you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using, and your IP address. This information is used for purposes of system administration, diagnostics, site tracking and reporting of aggregate usage information to third parties such as our advertisers and content partners or for research purposes. We do not link information automatically collected to information identifying your individually.

How Does Fantasy Cup Use the Information Collected

We collect certain information and data from players, such as name and contact information, so that our sites may display personalized content and send news regarding Fantasy Cup Challenges and other offerings. Additionally, usage information may be analyzed so that we can judge our system's performance.

Aggregate reports may be generated for advertisers. For example, we may tell advertisers how many people saw or clicked on an ad and additionally, how many people saw or clicked on ads in different portions of the game. Where available, we may offer additional aggregate information about player characteristics. However, this will not include personally identifiable information about the player or his usage patterns. Our advertisers allow us to provide our service to visitors. In return, our advertisers will need to know how to effectively place their ads to potential customers.

On various occasions, we will use e-mail contact information to provide you with information we think may be of interest. However, you can choose to opt out of these mailings by following the opt-out instructions accompanying all email messages from Fantasy Cup. Please note: reregistering with Fantasy Cup after you have selected to opt-out, may cause your opt-out status to be reversed. To ensure your opt-out preference is correct, check the appropriate boxes during registration or contact Fantasy Cup.

By providing contact information, you will be eligible to acquire user ID's and passwords that will allow you to play the Challenges and participate in the Fantasy Cup community. By accepting the cookies set by Fantasy Cup sites, the online experience could be enhanced. Cookies set by Fantasy Cup sites do not contain information that personally identifies the player. We will use your email address and, in rare situations your mailing address or phone number, to contact you regarding administrative notices.

Internal research may be done on our players' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon Challenge registration, during a promotion, or from our server log files. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. The information will not be released to third parties without your consent.

Who Can Use the Information Collected

If a Challenge player has disclosed credit card information, we do not release credit card information for use by any other company. All information that you send us is stored on highly secure servers that are not accessible to anyone but us. Players who register for Challenges through other parties (e.g., through co-branded games) may have some of their contact information shared with those parties, and those parties may want to contact such players. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these other parties.

If you send Fantasy Cup personal correspondence, such as email or letters, Fantasy Cup may collect such information into a file. No such information will be released to third parties without your consent. Any information or material disclosed or provided by you in personal correspondence to us or in any survey conducted by us may be used for internal Fantasy Cup advertising or marketing purposes. We will not make contact information available to the general public in any form without the consent of the player identified. This does not prevent or restrict us from distributing information that is already publicly available, including but not limited to information available in public telephone directories, classified ads, newspaper reports, publications, and the like, providing information as required by law, court order, or other valid legal process.
