NASCAR officials announced that multi-car qualifying could be used at tracks in the Cup Series next season, according to Jayski.com.

Our View:The practice is already used at road course events, and the Truck Series has used it at Pocono and Kentucky as well. The policy, which has more than one car on the track during qualifying, is designed to speed up the time trial process.

Our View:Waltrip is a former winner at the track, and he has competed in both superspeedway events in 2010. He finished 18th in the Daytona 500 and led three laps at Talladega in April before getting caught up in a wreck.

Our View:Milwaukee is a relatively flat track, making it a reasonable testing ground for both events. Busch is a three-time winner at New Hampshire and a former winner at Martinsville, but extra information is always a plus.
