Our View:Gordon has led 393 laps in five races at 1.5-mile tracks, but he has yet to win a race. Kurt Busch ranks second in the category with 383 laps led, and he has victories at Atlanta and Charlotte under his belt.

Our View:The practice is already used at road course events, and the Truck Series has used it at Pocono and Kentucky as well. The policy, which has more than one car on the track during qualifying, is designed to speed up the time trial process.
